“During Budget 2021, the government announced the Program Jaringan Prihatin, to ensure more people have access to the internet, bridging the digital divide for the B40 community and supporting the national digitisation agenda,”

“If Budget 2021 had previously announced RM180 subsidies to all BPR recipients to purchase a mobile phone, I am pleased to announce that the government will increase this subsidy to RM300 specifically for households with children attending school, to purchase a new smartphone or device,” he shared.

He added that this initiative will be launched in early May.

Stay tuned for more updates!
