Happy Chinese New Year and happy wedding!

Can any Chinese style wedding photoshoot get more creative than this? Canada-based photographer Jun Ying is taking wedding photography to another level.

Sharing on Facebook, Jun Ying and his wife Miya, who are both photographers, had the idea of shooting their wedding photos at one of their favourite hotpot restaurants in Vancouver, Canada.

“We both came to Canada in our teenage years, having our childhood immersed in all the cultures, our roots meanta lot to us,” Jun Ying shared.

During their wedding day, they could not have a traditional Chinese ceremony due to the limited time and location constraints. Therefore, they made it up by doing this Chinese themed wedding photoshoot by themselves; even with their own makeup and setup team!

“Blessed to be both photographers…we allowed our freedom to go wild when we found a perfect hotpot place for a selfie project,” said Jun Ying. The photoshoot features many traditional Chinese elements such as the traditional Han Fu costumes. Too cool!
