More and more politicians realize the importance of laptops for families who can’t afford them, especially in the age where teaching and learning go online.

Probably taking inspiration from what is done in Muar by Member of Parliament Syed Saddiq, Khairy Jamaluddin or KJ took it upon him to do the same in Rembau through his Digital Rembau initiative.

Taking to Facebook, KJ writes, “Today, I had the opportunity to distribute laptops to families that need them the most in Rembau.”

“This aid is part of the Digital Rembau initiative to ensure that students staying at home will be able to continue their studies.”

That’s cool.

Garnering more than 10k likes and hundreds of shares, Kj’s initiative is certainly a breath of fresh air compared to the never-ending war between other politicians who are more interested in power-grabbing and who should be the next Prime Minister.

Let’s hope that initiatives like this will be championed by our elected officials to help ease the burden of the people during the Movement Control Order (MCO).
