Astaka Hillside in Penang Catches Fire, Footage Goes Viral

Footage of massive fires taking place at Mutiara Selera Food Court along Jalan Tanjung Bungah made its way to social media.

‘The incident which took place at 10.19am has damaged 70% of the structure.

To show how devastating the fire was, here are several videos that went viral on social media.

According to The New Straits Times, the cause of the fire is still being probed.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

The food court has long been the talk of the town as the open-air hawker centre is popular among the residents of Tanjung Bungah.

With each hawker renowned for various specialities, it is hoped that all is not lost for hawkers affected by the fire.
