KKM: 862 New Positive Covid-19 Cases, 634 Discharged and 3 Deaths As Of 20 October

Based on today’s Covid-19 update from the Ministry of Health Malaysia, there are 862 new cases as of today (20 October), bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 22,225. From those numbers, a total of 14,351 patients have recovered and been discharged, including today’s 634 patients.

Unfortunately, there are three reported deaths today.

Out of the 862 new cases today, 673 are in Sabah, 136 are in Selangor, 17 are in Kedah and 9 in Perak. 860 cases are local transmissions and 2 cases are imported cases.

There’s been an alarming increase in the number of positive cases of late. This means that we should tread lightly, be more careful and adhere to the standard operating procedures set in place.
