According to Sin Chew Daily, the populated mall in Bandar Utama will close its Parkson outlet until further notice. After a Parkson employee reportedly tested positive for the virus, the mall’s management immediately took action by shutting down the store.

The situation is currently still being investigated by the mall’s management and an official statement from One Utama has yet to be released. A few days ago on 5 October, One Utama reported its first ever Covid-19 case from an outlet staff at Mac City.

While we await the official statement from the mall, the public is advised to stay alert and wary of possible Covid-19 cases near you.

UPDATE: One Utama has just released a statement regarding their second positive Covid-19 case. The mall took to their Facebook account to confirm that a Beauty Advisor from an Estee Lauder outlet in Parkson tested positive.

The management also assured all mall-goers that the entire mall building has also been disinfected, with “1 Utama frontliners working very hard throughout all hours of the day to keep the mall clean and to step up every way we can.”
