Malaysians are Day Two into the Movement Control Order and we hope this move helps in controlling the Covid-19 outbreak. With more and more cases being reported every day, the days ahead may seem a little bleak but we shouldn’t lose hope in any case. The Hubei province, which recorded the first cases of the Covid-19, just reported that there haven’t been any cases for two whole days. The look of pure joy on the staff is a sight to behold indeed.

For two days in a row, Central China’s Hubei Province reported zero new suspected cases, the provincial health commission told Xinhua. Even the number of existing suspected cases has reduced to zero after ruling them out on Tuesday, 17th March.

The province reported one new case and 11 new deaths on Tuesday, which brings the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases to 67,800. However, as of Tuesday, Hubei has seen no new cases for 13 consecutive days in all cities and prefectures outside Wuhan.

This drastic drop in the number of cases is believed due to China’s aggressive quarantine order and also the implementation of extensive screening tests. An appreciation was given to the 50,000 medical professionals who risked their lives working in the province.

It’s heartwarming to see this province once in extreme distress, able to find its smile. Salute to the brave medical professionals and researchers who battled this virus head-on. For Malaysians, it will get better for us if AND only if we follow the simple instruction of remaining at home. We can do this Malaysia!
