We Malaysians love our public holidays but we always hate it when it falls on a Saturday. Imagine the disappointment the author felt when they saw that for this year the Agong’s birthday falls on a Saturday.

But fret not my brothers and sisters, the King has heard our sorrows and has released this press statement.

Agong's Birthday This Year Will Be Brought Forward To A Monday So Everyone Get's A Holiday! - World Of Buzz

So basically what this statement says is that the Agong’s birthday for this year (6th June 2020 is a Saturday) will be brought forward to a Monday (8th June 2020). The statement also says that the Agong’s birthday will fall on the first Monday of June for every year as long as His Majesty Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah reigns.

This is definitely great news and long live the king! What are you waiting for? It’s time to book your holidays now!
