According to CNA, the farm had a total of 7,850 chickens, but 4,500 have died because of the new H5N1 strain. Because of this, the authorities had to cull 17,828 poultries.

According to the World Health Organization, H5n1 can be transmitted to humans, usually through a hostile environment. However, this situation is rare. WHO has said,

“This virus does not infect humans easily, and the spread from human to human is very rare.”

It has been a very tough start for 2020, but hopefully as we move into February, the situation will slowly become better!
