A video of a woman walking in a gadget store before she suddenly collapsed went viral as it was assumed to be of another victim of the Wuhan coronavirus – but this time, a local one.

The woman, Nur Izzah Izzati, 20, went to an engagement ceremony in Sungai Pinang and afterwards decided to bring her father a gadget store in Section 13, Shah Alam where she worked.

Nur Izzah passed out in the store, leading to a colleague rushing to get her father from where he was standing outside. When he got to Nur Izzah, he checked her pulse before picking her up and bringing her to a hospital nearby.

She died while the doctor was providing the necessary medical care. According to Berita Harian, Nur Izzah, the youngest of two siblings, was the closest to her father, Norazlan, 47.

Norazlan has urged people to “stop making speculations and spreading the video. My daughter did not die because of the coronavirus.”

Norazlan and 43-year-old wife Latifah Adam thanked netizens for expressing their condolences and wished for everyone who owns the video of Nur Izzah collapsing to delete it instantly for their daughter’s sake.
