Taking to Facebook, one page highlighted and warned visitors of a rampant crime involving vehicles parked at a supermarket in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

According to Facebook page Sultan Melaka, cases involving break-ins and robbery attempts have victimised visitors of the supermarket, through various pictures taken on-site by the victims.

From tail lamps to car radios, almost anything of value will be targeted by these scumbags. Even tires and car batteries are no exception to these crimes.

The post which has garnered more than 190 comments and 1k responses, saw netizens questioning the lack of security put in place by the management as well as the authorities, especially in light of the rampant break-ins happening in broad daylight!

One netizen writes, “My dad’s car was broken into once and his bag was stolen. They did it in broad daylight as nobody was there to catch them in the act.”

“The parking lot at this supermarket is a hotspot for thieves and it is the same in Kajang too. The only thing the guards can do is to shout from afar.”

Some mentioned that the cost of living and lack of job opportunities may coerce certain individuals to lead a life of crime, but risking it all just for stealing menial stuff such as radios and car batteries will not bring in the big bucks.

With that being said, we sincerely hope that the authorities will do something about this!
