We should always remember that most of the time, those who have to deal directly with people, such as waiters, customer service personnel and security guards, have someone giving them orders and they’re just doing their jobs.

Which is why it’s very disappointing that some Malaysians decided that it’s okay to not only bully but harass those in these professions just because they’re unhappy with something.

For example, Skye Amir took to his Facebook page to showcase a video where residents of a housing area were using traffic cones to attack and fight the security guards who keep them and their houses safe. Why were they so angry, you ask?

The security guards were given orders to direct residents who have yet to pay their monthly fees to use the visitor’s lane to enter their housing area until they have made their payments. Hence they’d have to register and go through the entire process of a visitor entering the area, to which the residents were not happy about.

In the gated community in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. some residents refused to pay fees, therefore the guards instructions for these residents to use visitors lane and register themselves. These residents refused and insist on use the lane meant for residents only. The guards are doing their job….hamtam jangan tak hantam machaaaaa….Deyyyy….deyyyy..

At one point in the video, one of the residents can even be seen picking up a plastic chair from the guard’s post and using it as a weapon.

The guards were also fighting back because who would just accept a beating, right?

It’s unsure if there were specific reasons as to why the residents refused to pay the fees. No matter what, it still very wrong that they took out their anger on the security guards who were just following orders.

So, remember Malaysians, be rational when you’re faced with such situations. After all, people just want to do their jobs.
