As independence day approaches, it seems that more and more issues are cropping that appear to challenge the state of unity we hold so dearly to our hearts

Taking to Facebook, an unnamed individual showed off his weaponry while voicing out his warning to non-Malays watching his video to not ‘step on the heads of the Malays’.

In the 3 minute video, the man can be seen showing off an assortment of sharp weapons — some inherited from his ‘master’ — while showing how immune he was to the sharp blades as he attempted to cut himself for the camera.

The video which has caught the attention of mainstream media witnessed outrage amongst Malaysians who condemned the video.

Taking to The Star, Melaka Consumer and Environment Association Education and Women Bureau Chief Azizah Harun said that the individual, “was giving my religion a bad name, we are peaceful people and not a violent community like what [he has] painted.”

“We are living in a new age, not 1969, where people can judge right from wrong without blaming other races.”

The video has since garnered much attention from netizens who urged the Samurai wannabe to vent his anger more productively or maybe just run amok the other way.

One netizen invites the individual to come and chop down trees on his land. He writes, “My grandfather gave me some land, but no one is there to help clear the trees. If you want, I will give you the job and pay you handsomely.”

We sincerely hope that ‘Samurai Jack’ does not hurt himself while playing with his mother’s butter knives. We would not want the next video to be an unintentional harakiri.
