Entitled narcissism is best represented when people think that they’re better than everyone else.

Almost everyone has dealt with a snobbish person at some point in their lives, and when you have to deal with one on a daily basis, it can be difficult not to lose your temper.

One netizen shares her experience having to deal with a particularly entitled narcissistic couple when working at a retail store.

@aidaburke_ writes “Worked in retail. A Dato’ and Datin couple came into the shop. They asked me how much one shirt costs. I replied RM295.”

Out of the blue, the couple began going on the offensive.

“They got angry and asked ‘Do you know who I am’?”

She added, “Because I am the kinda person who’s not afraid to die, I responded ‘Am I supposed to know who you are’?”

The couple’s tirade, however, did not end there.

“The wife said, ‘excuse me? He’s a very important person in this country okay? Who are you to question him?”

@aidaburke_ then assumed that they wanted the answer as to why the shirt was expensive.

“If you are really important to this country, then an RM200 ringgit baju is nothing to you right?”

At the end of the argument, she writes, “The wife gave me a ‘how dare you’ look. The Dato kept quiet.”

“The 17-year-old me was in complete shock because I could not believe what was happening and was confused.”

“They ended up leaving with two, RM295 shirts, and I got my commission.”

Such an entitled bunch, don’t you think?

The tweet has garnered more than 9k retweets and 5.9k likes.

Responding to her tweet one netizen spoke of how courtesy should not be wasted on these people.

“Honestly, I think they deserved it.”

“Just because they think they’re important, they think they’re also entitled. Customer service does not need to be wasted on people like that.”

When dealing with snobbish people, it is best that we do not allow anyone to make you feel like less of a person than you are.

We all deserve to be treated the same because your personal value is worth more than personal belongings or social status.
