So apparently, curry supposedly prevents baldness according to a Japanese nutritionist!

According to a survey conducted by a popular Japanese wig maker, Japan actually ranks fairly low on the list of countries with the highest percentage of male baldness. Kinda means he doesn’t get many wig requests though?

Many Western countries appeared at the top of the list, but Japan was at number 14. In fact, Rocketnews reported that America’s baldness rate was more than double that of Japan’s.

you just stop trying.

Yoshiko Nakagawa, a Japanese nutritionist, believes Japan’s male baldness rate is a lot lower due to the consumption of the popular Japanese curry dish. Nakagawa explained to Asagei that the mixture of spices found in Japanese curry helps to encourage hair growth. As translated from Japanese, he said:

“There’s a secret in the spices Indian people use to make their curry. By adding the mixed seasonings and spices into the curry, it increases your metabolism and hair growth. Especially turmeric, saffron, and nutmeg will enhance your hair growth.”

The spices contained inside curries include tumeric, saffron, nutmeg and capsaicin, all believed to promote blood circulation and metabolism in the body.

… Wait, does this too apply to our local Malaysian curries as well??!

Whilst the theory isn’t exactly proven, and it was based on the person’s research, eating more curry isn’t too bad of an idea! Ladle up on the curry folks.
