Experience the cool and calm atmosphere in this sleepy little town that is a haven for tourists looking for some relaxation. You can explore the temples here then wander down to the famous Mekong riverside and chill with a cold beer as the sun sets over the horizon. Don’t forget to soak in the local architecture delights which still have some French influence in them!

Exciting things you can do there:

  • Pay a visit to the Pha That Luang, a golden Buddhist stupa that is the symbol of Vientiane
  • Take your #OOTDs at Patuxai (the local Arc de Triomphe) that might even be more beautiful than the one in Paris!
  • Explore one of the oldest temples in Vientiane, the Wat Si Saket

You may have heard of this beautiful, tropical paradise island in Indonesia as it has been gaining popularity due its gorgeous beaches, enchanting waterfalls and the unmistakable Mount Rinjani in its background. It is definitely a great place to unwind as the people here have a more relaxed pace of life. Since there are so many beaches and islands just waiting for you, you’ll have a hard time narrowing down your list.

Even though Lombok recently suffered earthquakes in August 2018, tourism to the area is not affected as it is still very safe to travel there. You can be rest assured that the attractions there are still as beautiful as ever!

Exciting things you can do there:

  • Chill out at the Pink Beach and marvel at the pretty colour
  • Explore Gili Islands and don’t forget to take a photo at the ocean swings
  • Admire the majestic Mount Rinjani, the second highest volcano in Indonesia

It seems that more and more Malaysians are flocking to Hua Hin, the seaside resort city in Thailand that was also a favourite holiday destination for Thai royalty. It used to be a quiet fishing village but with the influx of tourists lately, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that there are many things to do here. One of the highlights is definitely the famed Santorini Park that will make you feel like you are in Europe (without actually having to shell out the big bucks!).

Exciting things you can do there:

  • Be one with nature at the Phraya Nakhon Cave
  • Take all the Instagram-worthy photos you want at Santorini Park
  • Stuff your face with delicious food at the various Hua Hin night markets

This promotion is also applicable for locations in Malaysia and if you haven’t visited our brothers and sisters in East Malaysia yet, Tawau is a good place to start. It’s great if you want to cuti-cuti Malaysia to Sipadan Island, which is known as one of the best diving sites in the world. If Sipadan Island is not your cup of tea then there are plenty of other sandy beaches and coral reefs you can explore. You could also head over to Maliau Basin to see the forest that has been dubbed as “The Lost World”.

Exciting things you can do there:

  • Swim amongst schools of fishes in the crystal blue sea at Sipadan Island
  • Explore the lush green trekking trails and take a dip at the waterfalls in Tawau Hills Park
  • See the only columnar basalt (fine-grained ingenious volcanic rock formation) in Malaysia at Giram Nek Legek or also known as Kampung Balung Cocos

Vietnam’s most famous seaside resort-town is full of character and is also known as its scuba diving centre due to the number of beautiful bay and islands. Nha Trang has been recognised as a favourite holiday destination since decades ago as many American and French soldiers loved to visit this place during the war. Luckily for us, AirAsia launched a route to this hot spot last year so we have the opportunity to explore this charming place as well without emptying our bank accounts.

Exciting things you can do there:

  • Spot workers labouring hard to harvest salt at the Hon Khoi Salt Fields
  • Visit the 19th century French Gothic style cathedral in Nha Trang known as Christ the King Cathedral with striking stained glass windows
  • Get your adrenaline fix at Vinpearl Land, an entertainment paradise of international standards
  • Drink in the peace and calm of the Po Nagar Cham Towers
