Feel like you’re running out of things to do in the Klang Valley and getting bored of the usual cafes and malls you frequent with your gang of friends?

Well, you should definitely make the most of your city, because there are loads of interesting events happening throughout this entire week that you should not miss out on! Don’t worry about scouring the net for all the deets, though, because we’ve got you covered.

Check out seven of the most interesting, unique events that are happening all over the Klang Valley this week (4th – 10th November 2018):

 

1. Fred Perry Subculture Live @ Vision Studios, KL

Attention, music fans! Coming back to KL once again is none other than Fred Perry Subculture Live, a night of music featuring some of the best international and local acts. So, if you’re a fan of local acts such as Bittersweet, Midnight Fusic, Lunadira, The Tomoe, and UK band The Vaccines, you need to check this event out!

2. ArtBox @ Sunway City 

No plans this weekend? Don’t worry, because ArtBox MY has got you sorted!

Set over two weekends, ArtBox is a night market like no other – filled with unique food, clothing, and art vendors, along with great music as well as interactive art installations, which will be perfect for those #OOTD shots. Sounds like there are tonnes of stuff to do at this market!

Yup, you read that right! Urbanscapes is officially back in town, so all you art buffs can check out the gorgeous art installations that have been put up all over Kuala Lumpur. While Urbanscapes has loads of incredible music gigs happening, we do recommend going to the Urbanscapes House in Medan Pasar, KL to check out some of the trippiest interactive art installations in the Immersio 2.0 exhibit.

Curated by local art collective, Filamen, you would definitely not want to miss out on what they have in store for us. So, if you’re looking for a bit of culture this weekend, definitely check out this exhibition!

4. Fashion & Lifestyle Flea Market @ Ruang, Subang Jaya 

Feel like going shopping this weekend? Instead of visiting yet another mall, why not check out this pop-up flea market in Subang happening this Sunday (4th November)? There will be unique pre-loved pieces on sale, so pop by if you’re hunting for some! Plus, there will even be delicious treats courtesy of Ice Cream Lab being served up to satiate your dairy cravings. Yum!

If you’re a real wine connoisseur and want to know every little detail about the wines you’ll be tasting, there will also be winery representatives at the event, so you can ask them all the questions you want!

7. European Union Film Festival Screening: Loving Vincent @ GSC, Pavilion KL

Calling all film buffs! If you’re a lover of Vincent Van Gogh’s work and his tragic story, you need to check out this one-of-a-kind biographical film. Animated entirely with oil paintings that pay homage to his painting style, Loving Vincent is being screened in Malaysia as part of the European Union Film Festival (EUFF).

It’s the first movie in the world entirely depicted in oil-painted animation using 125 artists from 20 countries and took four years to complete. Check out the screening times below!
