Take note of this if you frequently fly via Malaysia Airlines!

Starting August 1, passengers going on-board Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will have to adopt to its new baggage policy as the airline company will be reducing its free baggage allowance from 30kg to 20kg for all domestic flights.

This applies to only Economy class flights and for tickets that are booked from August 1 onwards.

That’s 10kg less of things for you to store in your luggage!

In an official email sent to The Star, MAS stated that this reduction is made in line with other full service carriers and to ensure competitive prices due to the higher fuel prices.

If you’re wondering whether the new policy will slash other complimentary services, fret not.

That’s because the new policy will still include the usual complimentary services such as 7kg cabin baggage allowance, meals and in-flight entertainment. Phew!

So, remember not to over pack your luggage the next time you fly Economy to domestic locations with Malaysia Airlines!
