Earlier this morning (4th July), Malaysians all over the country had their eyes on the Kuala Lumpur High Court, where former Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak was expected to be charged. A huge crowd reportedly gathered outside the High Court Complex, in anticipation of what is perhaps the biggest thing to happen in Malaysian politics since GE14.

As soon as the former prime minister arrived, huge crowds of civilians and journalists alike immediately crowded and rushed to take photos of him walking into the court, causing quite the commotion. Seriously, just look at the sheer number of people!

According to the Malay Mail, a foreign journalist from international media even suffered minor injuries during the commotion outside the court, and he wasn’t the only one who got hurt, either. He was quoted by the daily as saying,

“It happened to a few others when we were trying to take photographs of Najib. Two other reporters and two photographers were also injured.”

According to the journalist who chose not to be identified, a female reporter actually went to a nearby hospital for treatment after suffering a nosebleed during the rush.

Wow, with a crowd that big rushing to take photos, we’re not surprised that a few people got hurt!

Let’s do our best to prioritise each other’s safety while keeping up with the latest developments on this case, alright guys?
