On 21 May, the new MACC chief, Datuk Shukri Abdull promised us that he has a lot of dirty secrets regarding 1MDB to spill and he didn’t disappoint us. Now, he has finally revealed a lot of details that have been hidden away from fellow Malaysians.

Heck, he even called his predecessor, Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad a “traitor” for allegedly trying to cover up the wrongdoings of the SRC International Sdn Bhd case, which involved RM42 million being transferred from the company to Najib Razak’s personal bank account.

Shukri added that Dzulkifli should’ve been the one exposing all the wrongdoings and upholding justice since the latter was a former Deputy Public Prosecutor with formidable legal background. Instead, Dzulkifli chose to protect the criminal in this case, he said.

“By right, he (Dzulkifli) should study the case and collect evidence, not protect the wrongdoer. I see him as a traitor to the country,” Shukri said during the press conference.

He couldn’t tahan working under Dzulkifli at that time and decided to retire early. He then took up an Arabic language course in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia while another former MACC chief Tan Sri Abu Kassim was placed in Universiti Teknologi MARA.

We bet Shukri has been waiting for a long time to expose all the dirty laundry. Now that he’s in position to do so, we hope he can flush all the corrupted crooks out and give us a clean government. Kipidap Shukri!
