These entrepreneurs decided that you deserve a treat after exercising your duty as a Malaysian citizen in contributing to a decision that will affect the entire nation. Hence, as a reward for voting on polling day, here are SEVEN free food and drinks you can get on 9 May – all you have to do is show your indelible inked finger as proof! 

 

1. Pan Mee at Meet Me 

Meet Me, a restaurant that is famously known for its delicious pan mee, is offering free bowls of pan mee in all of its three branches (Desa Setapak, Danau Kota and Sungai Long) on 9 May 2018.

Their authentic pan mee bowls that are usually priced between RM8.20 and RM8.80 will be served to you for free if you visit their restaurant on polling day.

2. BKT at Eng Chun Bak Kut Teh

“I hope that this small token of appreciation will encourage the people, especially those who are coming back from afar,” said Yong Jin Ng, the restaurant owner who wished he could serve more BKT but needs to close the shop early so that his employees can vote.

3. Burgers at Epic Fit Meals Co

This one is for burger-lovers!

Similar to Eng Chun’s BKT, all you need to do is show your finger that has been dipped in indelible ink and you’ll earn yourself a free ‘chummy’ burger. Also, this deal is available for BOTH dine-in as well as take-out. You can enjoy their burger in the comfort of your home too! 

Hoping to make a statement, Epic Fit Meals Co came up with this initiative to encourage people, especially youngsters, to vote.

“I realised a lot of people around me are not interested in voting. So, I thought to myself, what better way to encourage them than (with) free burgers,” said Lai Wick Kee, co-founder of Epic Fit Meals Co.

“People will be voting from morning to evening. So I wanted to provide a promotion based on their flexibility,” he said.
