While Wednesday is just another day for many of us, it appears that the mid-week is particularly unlucky for our ex-prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak. We’re not joking, there’s proof!

According to a detailed observation by The Star, something unfortunate tends to happen to Najib every Wednesday, especially since the 1MDB probe started.

Coincidence? I think not!

Tenor

So, in chronological order, here is a series of unfortunate events that has happened to Najib Razak on Wednesdays:

3 July 2015: The revelation of the largest graft scandal in the world. The entire world – including Malaysians – were made aware of the RM2.6 billion found in Najib’s personal bank account. The money was believed to have been stolen from the 1MDB funds. This was where it all began.

9 May 2018: Polling day for GE14 saw the unexpected defeat of Barisan Nasional and the fall of its 61-year-old reign. #May9 #NeverForget

16 May 2018: The first-ever raid took place in Najib’s home right after the ascension of the new Pakatan Harapan government following the historical 14th General Election. MACC and PH were on a roll!

27 June 2018: The authorities revealed the actual amount – estimated between RM900 million and RM1.1 billion – of the seized items from six properties linked to Najib. The entire nation was shook!

4 July 2018: After an intense probe, Najib was brought to the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex for a legal proceeding and was charged with criminal breach of trust and misuse of position. However, he was later released following a bail, which was set at RM1 million whereby his family paid RM500,000 to ensure his release yesterday (4 July 2018). The remaining RM500,000 must be paid on Monday (9 July 2018).

8 August 2018: It was announced yesterday (4 July 2018) that Najib’s case management will take place on 8 August 2018, which of course, falls on a Wednesday too. Check the calendar, if you don’t believe us!

Based on the evidence above, we can clearly see that Wednesdays are really tough on Najib as he’s been having it pretty rough every time hump day arrives.

What do you think next Wednesday holds for Najib? Tell us in the comments!
