59yo Man Killed & 2 Others Injured After Masked Men Attack Diners at Penang Restaurant

A shocking incident at a restaurant in Penang left one man dead and two others injured after they were attacked by a group of masked men yesterday (30 December).

The attack occurred at approximately 4:30 PM at a restaurant in Sungai Bakap, where the victims were assaulted by a group of men armed with sharp objects.

Earlier, several videos circulating on social media showed the injured victims, including one in critical condition, following the attack, according to Berita Harian.

Penang Police Chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the incident, stating that investigations are underway under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

“We are working to identify the suspects involved and determine the motive behind the attack,” he added.

Around 15 masked men reportedly attacked the three victims while they were dining at the restaurant.

One of the victims, a 59-year-old man, succumbed to severe injuries while being rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, the two other victims are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
