11 Armed Men with Parangs Break into Puchong Home & Viciously Attack 2 Men in the House

A recent video circulating online shows vehicles pulling up to a house, followed by a large group of masked men breaking in while armed with machetes.

In a statement, Subang Jaya Deputy Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Fairus Jaafar, said they received a report about the incident at 12:13 AM through an emergency call to MERS 999.

They were armed with 6-inch machetes

The masked suspects, armed with approximately six-inch machetes, broke into the house and attacked 2 men, aged 31 and 38, multiple times in the living room on January 26 (Sunday).

It was reported that a group of 11 masked men showed up, got in through unlocked gates and doors, and stormed straight into the victim’s house.

The suspects fled the scene in three cars after the attack.

6 men were arrested

Acting on information, the police managed to arrest 6 men aged 23 to 28, suspected of being involved in an armed robbery at a house in Puchong in under 24 hours.

The victims suffered serious injuries from being hacked on the shoulder and sustained severe wounds from being hacked on the body, legs, arms, and other parts of the body.

“No belongings of the victims were stolen. The motive and cause of the incident are still under investigation,” Fairus added.

Suspects have prior criminal and drug-related records

Police believe the arrested suspects are linked to the case and are continuing investigations to identify other suspects and the motive behind the incident.

All suspects arrested have prior criminal and drug-related records. They have been remanded for 3 days until January 29 (Wednesday) for further investigation.

The case is being investigated under Sections 394 and 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt while committing robbery and causing injury using weapons.

Both victims are being treated at Serdang Hospital and are said to be in stable condition.
