It’s been a while since lottery stores were opened up to the public.
Oriental Daily recently revealed that 4D lotto stores in Phase 1 to Phase 4 states have been given the green light by the Ministry of Finance to reopen starting 14 September.
The 4D stores have since taken to Facebook to notify their customers of their reopening and the nearest draw date which will fall on the eve of Malaysia Day, 15 September.
Other than that, customers can also go and get their refunds for the tickets of draws that did not happen but were purchased prior to the lockdown. They can also collect their prize money if they have won in draws prior to the lockdown.
It is also said by two out of three of the lotto shops (Sports Toto & Magnum) on Facebook that the new SOPs only allow those who are fully vaccinated to go into their premises. In addition to that, Magnum has said that some stores might still be closed for sanitisation. Hence, it would be better for you to call their helpline to know if the store you’re heading to is open.
Many stores seem to be opening now. However, we must still abide by the SOPs since we’re moving on to the endemic phase. This does not mean that Covid-19 is over.
