The coronavirus outbreak and Movement Control Order (MCO) has brought out some of the worst in Malaysians’ characters, as it is shown that there are many among us that can’t follow simple instructions to save their lives.

That is why we need the help of our PDRM officers to ensure that people stay home instead of gathering in secret despite warnings that the lack of social distancing can land you in the emergency room with Covid-19.

However, 44 PDRM officers have tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Due to that, over 900 people have been quarantined at home, as according to Bernama TV.

They wrote, “44 PDRM police officers have tested positive for Covid-19, over 900 quarantined at home. -Inspector-General of Police.”

The Star also confirmed the news, adding that among the officers that tested positive for the virus is an Inspector.

“This includes an Inspector who tested positive today, whereby his close contacts were also quarantined at home,” said Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.

We should be thankful to PDRM officers for helping to ensure the rest of us stay safe, while their comrades fall victim to the virus. Hence, let’s cut them some slack and cooperate the next time we see them at a roadblock, after all, they’re very much suffering more than we are.
