A Lamborghini was seized by the Selangor Road Transport Department (JPJ) on Sunday (28 December) after checks found that its Motor Vehicle License (LKM) and insurance had expired for 15 months. Additionally, the luxury vehicle didn’t have a front registration plate.
Part of “Ops Luxury”, Selangor JPJ took to its Facebook page to share details of this incident.

The statement reads,
“Selangor JPJ remains vigilant and continuously monitors all complaints to ensure that vehicles always comply with the established road rules and laws.”
The owner was on his way to sell the luxury vehicle
According to a report by Kosmo!, Selangor JPJ Director Azrin Borhan explained that the Lamborghini was being driven by a 34-year-old used vehicle business owner who was on his way to Setia Alam with the intention of selling the luxury vehicle.

Initial inspections found that he failed to display the vehicle’s registration number on the front of the car.
“Further inspections later found that the LKM and insurance had expired 15 months ago. The reason he did not renew them was that he wanted to sell the car,” he said.
The check also found that the driver of the car had a record of past offences, including failing to comply with the speed limit, driving without a valid driving license and an expired probationary driving license.
