The baby was found abandoned at a coffee shop

Kangar District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yusharifuddin Mohd Yusop, revealed how they received a report about a newborn baby girl who was found at a coffee shop.

He explained how the newborn baby girl was found in a paper bag and was left on a table at a home-style coffee shop in Sanglang, as reported by China Press.

According to initial investigations, the woman admitted to being involved in the incident.

“The police also seized a mobile phone, a SIM card, scissors, bed sheets, and the placenta that the suspect had already burned.”

She gave birth in the bathroom

Yusharifuddin shared how the suspect said she gave birth to a baby girl on her own, with no help, in the bathroom of a house on Jalan Tok Pulau, Kampung Permatang Kersek in Simpang Empat on January 18 around 6:30 PM.

“About 10 hours later, the suspect drove a yellow Perodua Myvi, owned by a friend, to a restaurant in Kampung Rama, Sanglang, and left the newborn there,” he said.

He mentioned that the baby is doing well, still getting treatment at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital (HTF), Kangar, and is now being looked after by the state’s Department of Social Welfare (JKM).
