A 14-year-old girl in Penang was gang raped on Sunday (November 10) after going out with a male friend whom she had just met this April.

In a press conference, the Chief Police of Barat Daya district, Assistant Commissioner Sazalee Adam said PDRM has arrested 4 suspects aged between 20 and 25.

Sazalee said the main suspect, who is believed to be the victim’s 24-year-old boyfriend brought her home to his rented house in Bayan Lepas around 2 AM after the pair strolled around Relau town, reported Astro Awani and Sin Chew.

“They engaged in sex in the house, before 2 other suspects did the same thing with her. According to the victim, she doesn’t know the 2 other suspects.”

After the incident, the suspects brought the victim out to Bayan Lepas to watch an illegal motorcycle race.

The victim was brought back to the rented house again where she was gang raped by the same 3 suspects at 4 AM.

All 3 suspects are from Kedah and Kelantan. The victim met the main suspect after he was introduced to her by a friend.

The main suspect then sent the victim home at around 5 in the morning, and it didn’t take long for the victim to lodge a police report about the matter.

“3 suspects were arrested for gang raping the victim, while another one was arrested to assist in the investigation,” Sazalee said.

All suspects are being remanded after getting approval from Balik Pulau’s Magistrate Court, and the matter is being investigated under Section 375B of the Penal Code for gang rape.
