12-year-old Madrafataha was found safe by the police following her disappearance after taking food from the car at the parking lot of her flat in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang.

In a press conference yesterday (October 18), PDRM shed more light on what Madrafataha had to endure before she was reunited with her family.

The victim was sexually assaulted and almost sold to a brothel in Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur.

Selangor’s Chief Police, Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the victim was brought to a flat that was rented by 1 of the suspects, where she was given an electronic cigarette that caused her to be unconscious.

She was then sexually assaulted in an unconscious state by a 13-year-old and a 23-year-old suspect.

“She was also tortured but the signs were not obvious,” Datuk Hussein said.

PDRM also said the “transaction” was not successful because the buyers in Chow Kit ditched the plan after news about her disappearance circulated over the news.

Madrafataha also personally knows 2 of the suspects, and 1 of them is her brother’s ex-girlfriend.

“This explains why the victim boarded the car because she knew 2 of the suspects.”

Madrafataha was then asked by the suspects to take the e-hailing ride home on October 12.

Earlier, the victim was told by her mother to take food from the car before she went missing. Based on CCTV footage, Madrafataha was seen boarding a black Myvi. At the time of writing, PDRM is still locating 2 other suspects who are linked to the brothel.

The matter is currently being investigated based on Section 363 of the Penal Code for kidnapping.
