On October 8, 12-year-old Madrafataha in Klang went missing after going to get food from a car in the parking lot of her flat. The mother lodged a police report and the police conducted the search, and fortunately, Madrafataha was found safe.
In a statement by the Chief Police of the South Klang District yesterday, Cha Hoong Fong said she was found safe on October 12 (Saturday) around 2:30 PM.
“Based on CCTV footages around the premises, the child was seen walking towards a black Myvi before entering the car. She was believed to have been abducted.”
The Crime Department of the Klang Police Station has classified the case as “kidnapping” under Section 363 of the Penal Code.
On the same day that Madrafataha was found, PDRM also nabbed 6 suspects (4 men and 2 women) from multiple areas – Segambut Dalam, Pandamaran (Klang), and Setia Alam.
All suspects are local and aged between 13 and 23.
“Based on investigations, 1 of the suspects has a criminal record. All suspects will be remanded and if found guilty, the suspects will face jail time of 7 years,” Cha said in the statement.
In the meantime, PDRM also urged the public to come forward and assist in the investigation if they have relevant information.
