A 14-year-old Malaysian girl has been missing for around 2 months now, and the police, as well as her family members, are seeking your help!

In an official police statement yesterday (August 6), PDRM said they received a report regarding the disappearance of Lin Yu Cheng, who was last seen at her condo in Petaling Jaya.

“Lin Yu Cheng was last seen on 25th May, 2024, at around 3:10 PM.”

The description released by the police shows that Lim is about 155 cm tall, 42 KG, with yellow skin and dark hair.

In another report, the chief police of Petaling Jaya, Assistant Commissioner Shahrulnizam Ja’afarya said Lin left her condo after a misunderstanding with her father.

“The family members have been trying to contact Lin through her number but to no avail. The number is currently inactive and we believe Lin has deactivated her number,” Shahrulnizam said.

Is Lin safe?

Shahrulnizam also said that according to Lin’s father, the family members saw an update by Lin via her Instagram story yesterday (August 6), where she showed off her new tattoo. Based on the photo, she was believed to be in an undisclosed nightclub.

After seeing the Instagram update, the family members decided to lodge a police report yesterday – 73 days after Lin was last seen.

PDRM urged the public to pay attention to their surroundings. Should you find Lin or have relevant information on her whereabouts, do contact the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters Operations Room (03-79662222) or go to the nearest police station to provide information.

We sincerely hope Lin can reunite with her worried family to sort things out.
