Yuna has done it again and we couldn’t be more proud!
The Malaysian singer was the face of New York City’s billboard in collaboration with Spotify to celebrate Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage month!
The songstress shared the good news on her social media accounts – Facebook and Instagram – and of course, she was extremely excited by her achievement.
“Look mom! I’m all over NYC! Celebrating Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage month with @spotify- thanks Spotify for always having me a part of this special month together with other talented Asian artists this visibility means a lot to us! I’m a proud asian aunty yas and proud of my community!” she wrote on Instagram.
“Wish I was there to witness it myself I always miss my NYC billboard moments ? Stay safe everyone!”
“Also dropping Stay Where You Are on the 15th❤️ Now that I’ve given you this important update, I’m going back to vacuuming the house lol.”
The Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage celebration takes place every May and it celebrates the culture, traditions, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States.
On 7 May, Yuna was one of the artists who performed at the online concert, Asia Rising Forever. It featured an all-Asian line-up spanning over 20 acts across 11 countries and is organised by record lable, 88rising in conjunction with with the Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage celebration, reported NST.
