A pair of siblings lost their parents in a shooting incident while they were out celebrating a birthday at a restaurant in Hat Yai, Thailand.

According to a report by Bangkok Post, a couple was celebrating their 12-year-old son’s birthday along with their daughter when an angry customer fired several shots inside the busy restaurant on Sunday night (December 22) at about 10pm.

The angry customer, a 50-year-old man, had gone to the restaurant to drink alone. He then went outside to smoke and came back to find that his table had been cleared by a waiter who thought that he had finished his drink.

After some arguing, the angry customer left but later returned and resumed the argument before pulling out a gun and firing repeatedly.

The couple, 48-year-old Sitthipong Siriphan and his wife, 45-year-old Orachon Ieankham, were killed as they were both shot in the head. While their son was uninjured, his younger sister was wounded in the head.
