Low Chee Leong, the Melaka State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Kota Laksamana, is being called out for posting “unnecessary content” on social media after spotting a stripped Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) patrol motorcycle in public.
Taking to his Facebook page, the ADUN explained that he stumbled upon the dismantled bike while strolling through his constituency. He publicly questioned whether the vehicle actually belonged to the police.

A public request for clarification
“This morning, while patrolling the Kota Laksamana constituency, I saw a motorcycle by the roadside that appeared to belong to a traffic police officer. It even featured police markings,” he wrote.
“I would like to enquire with the police as to whether this motorcycle actually belongs to them. This situation has caused confusion among the public, and I hope the authorities will provide an explanation as soon as possible.”

In the photos shared, the stripped motorcycle appears to be parked next to a workshop, and the motorcycle’s keys were notably left in the ignition.
More pressing issues to focus on
Malaysians took to his post to question his priorities, as they believe there are more important issues that the ADUN should be focusing on.
Many also pointed out that he could have easily reached out to PDRM to seek answers rather than posting about the motorcycle online, while others noted the motorcycle could simply be there for repairs due to the presence of the workshop.

“Does YB no longer have any work to do? Is this the kind of problem you want to bring up after the people voted for you? Do the people of Kota Laksamana no longer have any problems for YB to look at?”

“If you want to ask, this is not the place to do it. Take a picture of the motorcycle and the registration number, go to a police station and ask.”

“A workshop can be seen at the back. What is so doubtful or confusing?”

“The public isn’t confused; only you are confused.”
