With the viral radio DJs now being investigated by PDRM following their controversial video, the UMNO Youth Chief had something else in mind.

While Dr Akmal Saleh is on board with the decision to investigate and punish the DJs for insulting Hinduism in a recent viral clip, the UMNO Youth Chief is wondering about two other figures who recently found themselves under fire for insulting Prophet Muhammad – Malaysian comedian Harith Iskander and a Facebook user named Cecelia.

“I would like to ask the authorities, if these 3 DJs are being investigated and suspended from duties, what are the updates on Harith Iskander and Cecelia?”

“They belittled Islam and the name of the Prophet Muhammad,” Akmal remarked in his Facebook post this morning (March 5).

At the time of writing (March 5), Harith Iskander’s controversial “Ham” post has been removed from his Facebook feed. Harith also thanked PDRM last month for taking swift action against the person who sent him and his family death threats.

Akmal also reminded everyone that the laws of Malaysia apply to everyone, regardless of their race and religion.

“The laws are applicable to everyone, not selectively based on the support of influential people.”

Akmal also previously commented on the viral corn vendor who insulted the Indian community, where Akmal highlighted that the “do first, apologise later” attitude is no longer acceptable. The said corn vendor had been fined, and his Indonesian wife is currently serving a prison sentence for not having the proper travel documents.

What do you think of Akmal’s take on this?
