Deputy Prime Minister and UMNO President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi was booed by race fans when it came to his turn to crown the champion of the Malaysia Grand Prix (GP) yesterday.

Taking to TikTok, opposition politician and activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin, more commonly known as Chegubard, shared a video of what took place that afternoon.

Being among the delegates to present the winner’s trophy, everyone received cheer after cheer from the crowd.

When it came to Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s turn, however, those very cheers turned into boos and jeers throughout his turn presenting the trophy.

Not mentioning the crowd’s reaction, his official Facebook account, showed images of what took place at the Malaysia GP.

The comments section was a tad bit different with many seeking clarification as to what really took place at the event. Nevertheless, the Deputy Prime Minister seemed quite cool and not bothered by the jeers received from race fans during the event.
