With the Malaysian international border officially reopening and the mutual agreement with Singapore to have less travel restrictions between our two countries being enforced yesterday, the Causeway link on the Tebrau Straits has been at its liveliest since in more than 2 years. With many Malaysians in Singapore returning back home and vice versa, it’s an overall emotional and joyous day for both our countries yesterday!
The reopening of the Malaysia-Singapore borders also meant that many Singaporeans can finally go on a holiday in Malaysia and visit their favourite Peninsular Malaysia states by land. However, one Singaporean couple drove across the borders to Malaysia yesterday in the most relaxing and awesome way, which is by leisurely enjoying the views as their Tesla drove for them in auto pilot!
Shared by @sgpikarchu on TikTok, the couple took advantage of the border reopening by testing out their Tesla model 3 Standard’s auto pilot capabilities on Malaysian roads. They shared how they were queuing at the border at 12am on 1 April and was able to cross the custom checkpoint within 45 minutes.
