Fireworks aren’t exactly legal in Malaysia, actually no, they’re completely illegal. The only ones we’re legally allowed to play with throughout the seasons are ‘Pop Pop’ and ‘Happy Boom’. Still, during almost every holiday, we’ll be able to hear the exciting shrieks and see the gorgeous colours of various fireworks.

Though, it appears that this leniency is being taken advantage of by irresponsible parties.

Based on a video shared by China Press, someone from a higher vantage point shot fireworks at people as they enjoy the night air somewhere in Malaysia.

In the video, people ran as fireworks burst around them and chaos ensued. Some even took cover behind cars as hot sparks from the fireworks flew past them. The whole area can be seen becoming smokey from the fireworks.

Upon a closer look at the video, the fireworks could also be seen being shot from a bridge over a body of water.

While the location of the incident is unknown, but the video was believed to have been taken somewhere in Malaysia as local cars can be seen parked around what looks like a recreational area.

Such a dangerous act could have caused injuries to the innocent people who were merely there to spend their time with their loved ones.

We genuinely hope that the authorities take action against the irresponsible party who thought it would be a good idea to shoot fireworks at people from above.
