Over the weekend, a CCTV footage was shared all over Facebook about a couple’s squabble which went viral.

In the video, it could be seen that the woman who was mad had stopped infront a shopfront. A man then came running to her and asked her not to be mad.

The man then said, “I just want to buy Mcdonald’s for you, I just want you to be happy.”

The woman looked at him and told him to explain nicely as he was starting to panic and lose control of his emotions.

He then kicked the water filter tank and told the woman that they should settle it back at home as they walked away and left the water filter tank on the floor.

Boyfriend’s explanation

This video has since garnered over 2,000 shares on Facebook and not long after, multiple meme pages were already making memes out of the situation.

Seeing that the video is still garnering attention, the man from the CCTV footage has since released a 4 minute long video where he explained what had gone down.

In the video, he mentioned how it was Chinese Valentine’s day and his girlfriend was waiting for him since the afternoon and that she did not have anything to eat.

He said, “She didn’t want to have Mcdonald’s for dinner and didn’t have the appetite to eat. I told her that she has to eat regardless as it is bad to skip meals.”

“I love my girlfriend very much and I want to take care of her. Unfortunately, Mcdonald’s was the only thing that is still open at that time.”

He also mentioned that it’s his mistake for kicking the water filer tank and would like to emphasise that he did not resort to violence and that he had just lost control of his emotions and accidentally kicked the tank.

“I’ve contacted the owner of the shop and we have resolved this matter privately,” he explained.

He ended the video by addressing the rumours that many netizens have been making up about them, and hopes that it will stop as it is affecting their livelihood.
