WATCH: Man Wielding Knife at Banting Restaurant Shot in the Leg by Security Guard

Earlier today, chaos erupted at a restaurant in Banting when a man armed with a knife began attacking patrons. The incident, which took place near Banting Hospital, was captured in a 57-second video that has since gone viral on social media.

In the footage, several individuals can be seen using chairs to defend themselves against the assailant. As the situation intensified, a security guard on the scene fired a single shot, hitting the man in the leg and bringing the rampage to an end.

Kuala Langat district police chief Superintendent Mohd Akmalrizal Radzi confirmed the incident and stated that more details would be provided in an official media release.

Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and authorities are currently investigating the motive behind the attack.
