Although we are blessed to have plenty of natural reserves around us, it can sometimes prove to be dangerous as chance encounters with wild animals are often reported.
Such encounters can sometimes even end up in injury and death.
Thankfully, our public officers are well tasked for the handling of wild animals as shown in a recent video shared by Pontian police.
In a video posted on Pontian’s police Facebook page, a traffic cop was spotted dragging a huge snake off a main road and into the forest area nearby.
In the post shared by them, they wrote, “The safety of road users is always prioritised, especially during this festive season.”
They praised the two officers involved and identified as Corporal Hirrul Fitri and Corporal Basri from the Federal Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (BSPTD), alleging that they had done so to ensure the safety of road users, especially motorcyclists.
Fortunately, the traffic officer was unharmed as the snake didn’t react as it was being dragged away from its spot.
