A recent video clip shared by the Facebook page “I Sor Khayi Kkhao” went viral as it shows a politician’s husband returning to his rural home in Sukhothai, Thailand.

In the footage, it shows the 64-year-old man outside his bedroom, finding a saffron robe typically worn by Buddhist monks.

As he records his entry into the room, he unexpectedly finds his wife naked with someone hiding under the blanket beside her. He then lifted the blanket to expose the monk that was together with his wife on the bed.

The husband is captured on video angrily asking, “Are you two very happy?”, while his politician wife exclaims, “Stop, stop, you have no right”.

According to the Facebook page, the husband had suspected his wife of having an affair and returned home from Bangkok without notifying her.

The same page reported that the husband has since ended his relationship with the female politician. Meanwhile, the 24-year-old monk has left the monkhood and is now in hiding.

He appeared on a TV show after the incident to recount what happened. The wealthy property developer said that he drove 5 and a half hours from Bangkok to get home that day.

When he called his wife but did not get through, he said “I suspected something was wrong.”

“When I found out they were together, I was very angry. I felt betrayed. I brought her gold and lots of gifts.”

The 24-year-old monk allegedly said they didn’t do anything

After being caught in the act, reports mentioned that he insisted that “nothing happened” and “things are not what they look like in the video”.

He said he was facing some problems, so they both just chatted together and then went to take a shower.

Investigations are ongoing

According to Bangkok Post, since the video went viral, Democrat spokesman Rames Ratanachaweng announced that party leader Chalermchai Sri-on has formed a committee to investigate a 45-year-old politician. While they mentioned that they’re keeping the politician’s name confidential, everyone nationwide already know who the lady is.

Speaking from the party’s Bangkok headquarters, Rames stated that Chalermchai has directed the committee to complete the investigation within three days. He also mentioned that if evidence proves the female politician had an affair with her adopted son, who is a Buddhist monk, she would face expulsion from the party.

Rames revealed that he became aware of the alleged affair on Wednesday when a popular Facebook page shared a video clip purportedly showing the female politician in bed naked with the monk. Upon learning of this, Rames promptly informed Chalermchai, who took immediate action.

Rames commented that if these allegations are true, such behavior would breach the party’s code of ethics, potentially leading to the politician’s expulsion.
