After getting sacked by UMNO, Khairy Jamaluddin found his new home at a local radio station where he’s currently working as a DJ. Not only that but is also a co-host in the Keluar Sekejap podcast, as well as serving as the director of Johor Football Club.
The former Health Minister hinted at his possible return to politics but he did not disclose if he’s joining any existing party. However, an “offer letter” from PKR to KJ recently went viral on social media, in which KJ was apparently given the opportunity to serve as the deputy president of the party. The letter is dated 19 June 2023 and was apparently written by Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, the secretary-general for Pakatan Harapan.
According to the content of the letter, PKR is interested in appointing KJ as the Deputy President of the party and they’ve asked him to respond to the letter within 7 days from the date of the issued letter.
At the time of writing (20 June), KJ has yet to respond to the viral letter, and Saifuddin himself also has not spoken anything in regard to the viral letter. However, PH’s Fahmi Zainol has since responded to the issue and clarified that the letter is nothing but merely a hoax.
In his tweet yesterday, Fahmi tweeted the truth about the letter.
“Modern day scams come in many forms.”
With the state elections nearing, KJ has yet to reveal if he will form his own political party but an image of him meeting with former PM, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who is also the head of the opposition has recently circulated on social media, and netizens couldn’t help but to come up with their own “theories”.
The picture was posted on KJ’s IG story yesterday. There was no caption or explanation regarding the meeting.
KJ has yet to shed any details about the meeting but until he has said anything, let’s wait for an update from KJ himself.
Now that the offer letter has been confirmed as a fake, where do you think KJ is headed next? Do you wish to see him making his grand return to the world of politics?
