The viral female e-hailing passenger is now making headlines again for another similar modus operandi – paying a small part of the fare before the e-hailing ride.

In a viral Facebook post by Joshua Liew, the man shared a few screenshots of conversations between him and the viral female passenger, who said she only had RM1.20 at that time for an RM20 ride. The conversation, which took place around 2 a.m., shows the man arranging a driver for the passenger. All he needed was for the passenger to firm up some details and make the full payment before the ride.

The passenger, however, asked for the driver to go to her first, and she would pay the full amount in cash when the driver was there. Joshua, who was tasked with arranging a driver for her, agreed to that.

“Ask him to come faster,” the passenger instructed Joshua.

When the driver arrived, Joshua asked her to pay for the ride before boarding the car. She only paid RM1.20 because “she didn’t have enough money.” She said she would pay the remaining balance to the driver, but the driver refused to accept her unless she made her payment first.

The driver said that he knew her from all the viral issues.

“What did he mean he know me? I don’t even know him!”

The driver refused to let her in, prompting her to spam text Joshua and ask him to let her in. Joshua, who immediately became aware of her identity politely told her he couldn’t let her in the ride.

“Sorry, Miss. I think you’re very famous now on social media. Many drivers have complained about you. I’m afraid I can’t let you in until you make full payment.”

The passenger, on the other hand, wanted her RM1.20 back.

“You scam my RM1.20! I’ll report you! Cancel my ride.”

Joshua then promised her that the RM1.20 would be refunded immediately. It seems that the passenger did not board the car, after all. The passenger has yet to respond to this matter.

To all e-hailing drivers out there, have you encountered a similar situation?
