After seemingly putting an end to their feud at a police station, Malaysians were shocked earlier today to find that the quarrel between the convenience store owner and the helmet-wielding customer in Penang had escalated.

This is after a video of the former visiting the convenience store again to seemingly pick a fight with the latter, but this time bringing a parang with him.

Shared by the Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate for the Sungai Bakap by-election Dr Joohari Ariffin on his official Facebook page, the video caused a stir and garnered over 365,000 views and 1,100 shares as of the time of writing.

In the 20-second video, the viral anneh came to the convenience store again with a parang and called out the owner who then emerged with his viral cat in his arms.

They then seemingly agree to be “gentlemen” and “1-by-1” again before the video abruptly ends.

It’s just a campaign gimmick by PH Sungai Bakap by-election candidate

Well, as it turns out, the whole thing was just a gimmick orchestrated by Dr Joohari, as in a follow-up video a few hours later, the PH by-election candidate suddenly emerged to stop the fight.

Furthermore, it was “revealed” that the anneh brought the parang so that they could eat durian together, which the 3 of them did afterwards.

In the comments, Dr Joohari posted a video of them eating durian together with the caption,

“Chinese, Malay, Indian don’t fight, let’s be friends ❤️”

At the end of the video, it was revealed that the video was just a by-election campaign for Dr Joohari, as there was a call-to-action for Sungai Bakap voters to cast their vote for the PH candidate.
