Video: Elephant Spotted Roaming Around Mersing – Kota Tinggi Road Early Morning

Road users a Johor trunk road were in for a surprise this morning when an elephant was spotted roaming around the area.

On a video shared on the Facebook page Info Roadblock JPJ/Polis, the incident happened at around 6am at Batu 6 Perani Jalan Mersing – Kota Tinggi.

The over 1-minute video was recorded by a man passing through the area.

Through the video, it can be seen that a Mercedes Benz car in front of him slowed the vehicle when an elephant was spotted crossing the road.

What was surprising is that, when the car tried to dodge the elephant, it looked like it was trying to chase the vehicle.

In the comments section, a few netizens were worried about the safety of elephants and the drivers who drove past there.

However, it was shared that the area was quite prone to elephants passing by. Drivers are highly advised to drive carefully as it can endanger the elephant and their own safety.
