A 15-year-old special abilities teen from London has gone missing in Malaysia.
According to BBC, Nora Quoirin, who arrived in Malaysia for a 2-week dream holiday with her family, went missing on Sunday morning (4th August 2019).
They were staying at the edge of the forest in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
It was reported that when her parents woke up at around 6:30am on Sunday morning, they found her missing and the window of her hotel room was open, which panicked her parents.
It turns out that they had just arrived on Saturday (3rd August) and they were really looking forward to this trip. They checked into their hotel and then on the next morning, this happened. Her parents had said that her disappearance is completely out of character.
The girl’s uncle also took to Facebook to get help from locals. In a post, he says “Any friends with connections in Malaysia please get in touch if you think you can help in any way, my niece Nora Quoirin has gone missing in Seremban, an hour or so from KL. She is 15 with special needs, and hasn’t been seen since everyone went to bed last night.”
The Star reported that the police had received a report concerning a missing 15-year-old Irish girl at a resort in Pantai Hills (she was using an Irish passport).
A police team assisted by personnel from the Fire and Rescue Services Department has conducted a search in the area. However, they have yet to find the missing girl. They are continuing with the search, and they have also informed all district police chiefs to help out.
A spokesman for the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs said that they are aware of the case and are providing consular assistance.
Oh no! We hope that she will be found soon and that nothing bad has happened to her. Folks, let’s all keep an eye out for Nora!
