Remember watching those makeover shows and thinking, “Man I wish I could give my home a makeover, but how? I pokai”. Well, fret not!
A young student from UiTM recently posted a video on TikTok showing how he gave his own room on campus a makeover! And the best part, he did it all under RM300!
“Condition of the room when I first entered the campus”, he states.
From a dull looking room, Mohamed Alif Asyraf Roslan has turned it into a grand looking hotel. It appears that the young chap went ahead and bought cheap items from a store called “Eco Shop” as well as on Shopee.
The video shows how he combined 2 single beds and made it into a king size bed as no one but him occupies the room. Besides that, he got extra items such as a cooling fan as well as a portable rack to store all kinds of goodies, for a cheap price!
“It wasn’t easy to do it all alone”, says Aliff.
He also added a marble looking wallpaper to give the room an extravagant taste and to cover up the unpleasant marks on the wall.
Aliff went and got some cheap frames and painted them gold, giving off a bold vibe. He then hung up some cool decorative items and twinkling lights over the bed just as how the younger generations do it these days. Good lighting is a must!
“King sized bed and decks of storage for goodies!”, he exclaims.
According to another video on TikTok, for most of the items bought, Aliff used the money given by the authorities as much as RM150 under the e-belia fund for students under 20 years of age.
