Two 10 feet and 16 feet long crocodiles have escaped from Sarawak’s Matang Wildlife Centre.
According to Sarawak Forestry Corporation, residents in Kampung Rayu or people who are nearby Matang Wildlife Centre have to be cautious. Due to heavy rain last night (11 March 2023) that caused flash floods and damaged the centre’s cage, two crocodiles in the centre escaped.

“Two crocodiles measuring 10 and 16 feet each have escaped from a damaged cage,” said the Sarawak Forestry Corporation, adding that they are already in cooperation with local authorities, and are carrying out thorough surveillance and search work in the area to ensure the people’s safety.
“If you have any information or sight the crocodiles, please contact the SFC hotline at 019-8859996 (Kuching).”. The corporation also urged the public to not panic.
